Question

E-mail doesn't immediately show in the Inbox list.

Jan 26, 2013 10:44AM PST

Whenever I have my Inbox open & new e-mail arrives, the Inbox count changes (& a chime sounds), but the message does not show in the message list. I have to click on another mailbox (sent, deleted, etc) & then click on Inbox.

How do I get messages to immediately show in the list ?

Answer
I believe you just need to scroll

On my systems, I have to scroll (would be down if you have most recent last). What I usually do is after reading new email, I click "Unread email" under Quick Views, then I can see the new ones when they come in with a single click.

Good luck.

I have e-mails sorted so that most recent is shown at the top of the list, but it doesn't immediately show. I usually have the top showing. I have to click on another mailbox & then click back on the Inbox. That's only 2 clicks, but it used to show immediately (zero clicks).

Then you have to scroll UP

MS makes updates to WLM without asking or telling, so things like this can change from time to time. As I said though, if you click on Unread Email after reading your email, you'll see the new ones when they come in without having to scroll.
