Resolved Question

E-mail client with option to only download recent messages?

Aug 2, 2013 4:40AM PDT

Hi, I am looking for an e-mail client (Windows 7) that will only keep the most recent (50 or so) messages for each folder (inbox, sent mail, etc.) on my computer and will automatically delete older messages. All of the messages will still be on the server, but just not on my local hard drive. I am trying to conserve space on my disk.

I basically want the feature found on my iPhone's Mail client, which only displays the 50 most recent messages and deletes the rest, giving an option to search the server for older messages.

Thanks.

Odd. Trying to fit this on a floppy disk?

That's so small in size that I can't see why this is needed. We already see an option to not download attachments in almost all the email clients so I'll stop here.
