DVRs

I bought a new TiVo Bolt Vox. Per the instructions, I went to their website to look into subscriptions. I discovered the device WILL NOT work with DirecTV. Anybody know a device I can use?

And other countries since HD recording is almost or is illegal. Just look at the dearth of HD DVRs in the USA.
