DVI to VGA back to DVI?

I have a DVI output and need to run it to a digital projector,DVI Input. I am using 2 adaptors to send the signal through a VGA cable. Will this retain the digital signal? Will this even work or does the signal get degraded? Any help on this topic would be great!!!

"mid-connections" will degrade the signal. Length of cables do the same thing. It just depends.

It should work but the picture will be pixelated and degraded. May not be worth viewing. Test the system before using it publicly.
