DVE rendering help

Feb 1, 2006 9:26AM PST

Need some help please, I'am working on a dvd project it currently stands as about 2 GB of video and pictures files, is it normal for the randering of the dvd to take some 6 to 7 hrs, or is there something that I can do to speed things up (except buying a supercomputer) sometime when we review the project on a projector we see things that we whant to change and this means another 6-7 hrs rendering.
I'm using ulead VideoStudio 8 and an AMD XP 2000 processor with 750Mb of RAM
Any suggestion would be appreciated
Thanks

Yes. It takes some hours.

The faster your CPU, the less time. And almost amazing when you have dual core or dual CPU machines. But still hours.

Sounds Normal

That sounds normal. That's the conversion to MPEG that takes so long; the actual disc writing is just a fraction of that. I like to do mine overnight: that way I'm not bothered with thinking about it.
