DVDs freezing?

Jan 17, 2006 5:55AM PST

I recently recieved a JVC xv-thm303 DVD player as a gift. The only problem is that I every time that I put a dvd in, it freezes. The longest I have had one play for is around 2 minutes and then it just totally freezes up. I try to eject the CD and it doesn't let me. The funny thing is, that when I use it to play music CDs, it plays perfectly without freezing.

Does anyone know what might be the problem? Thanks for any help.
