Question

DVD. What kind of player for Vizio E series?

Mar 12, 2016 2:09PM PST

I just bought a Vizio E series TV. I have an old Philips DVD player that I hooked up to the RCA input jacks on the TV. When I play a DVD, it does not fit the screen horizontally or vertically, even though I selected 16 x 9 output on the DVD deck like the Vizio tech person suggested.

Should I upgrade the DVD player to something else, or is the upgrade not going to buy me anything from my old unit? Not interested in Blueray.

The Philips box is a DVD 711

Thanks
Rog
