MiniDV (actually, it is the DV video format, Mini is the size of the tape cassette) is the only option if you want to edit your raw video footages before you make them into DVD or VCD or something else. Raw footages in DVD format is not suitable for editing at all. Read more in "DV Primer" available free at www.adobe.com
Hey hey.. i am just graduating..and looking to make it in the tv business.heheh.. SOoo..im getting a video camera..so i can make some videos to send to places like muchmusic (the goal).. ANYWAYS.. i have a regular PC.. i just want to be able to made a video...put it easily onto my computer, edit it..and take it off my computer and put it onto something else.. Is a mini Dv the best bet (and then get a package like videowave that has firewire and editing program)... or should i be looking into dvd.. .. After things are edited. what do i put it onto?? .. i dont have a dvd burner...but i have a Cd burner (but no program cuz it got erased) .. is this going to take up too much room on my computer? is all of this possible?? i have 16gb of space left.. im just so confused .and i need to get it ASAP .
any suggestions? help?? please? anything?
