It is non-copy protected-family stuff. I thought it would be easy as you describe. It strarts out great then goes into a snow program. I was told this comes from different format.
Composite is composite, I didn't know it has different format. You are connecting (red, wht, and yellow) output on the dvd player to the (red, wht, and yellow) input of the vcr and set the vcr to video 1 or 2 (what ever it may be)? If your vcr is not color coded, the yellow represant the VIDEO and the red, wht are AUDIO.
Do you have an rf coax connection on the dvd, if so, maybe you can try that but now set the vcr to channel 3. Let us know how it goes, good luck.
