DVD/VCR/RECORDER

Jan 1, 2007 12:49AM PST

I HAVE JUST GOT A HD TV. I WANT A DVD/VCR UNIT THAT I CAN COPY VCR TO DVD, DOWNLOAD MY CAMCORDER ONTO A CD AND RECORD TV PROGRAMS IF THERE IS SUCH A UNIT. I HAVE NO CLUE WHAT I NEED TO BUY. DON;T WANT TO INVEST A FORTUNE IN A UNIT, BUT WOULD LIKE AS GOOD A UNIT AS I CAN AFFORD. NEED SUGGESTIONS OF UNITS TO RESEARCH. THANK YOU

May I recommend...

I would recommend the Philips DVDR3435V/37, a unit that can do exactly that. At $250 it's not quite the cheapest on the market, but it is the best buy as far as I am concerned considering the reliability and quality. Aside from that I would like to make two suggestions:

1.) This forum is reserved for forum-related issues, so your question would be best posted in the Home Audio & Video forum.
2.) Typing in all caps is considered shouting and makes it more difficult to read, so try to avoid it in the future.

You may find a better response in the Home Audio and Video forum. This forum is generally reserved for comments about the forums and CNET.

Just as an aside, it is considered very bad forum etiquette to type everything in capital letters. It is regarded as shouting.

Good luck in your quest for the DVD/VCR unit.
