Question

dvd studio pro menu terrible resolution

Does anyone know how to create a menu screen in Mac DVD Studio Pro that isn't all pixelated and blurry? This is for SD dvds. Is there better software to do this?

Answer
Be sure you are not displaying it "large"

I hear this complaint when folk play such on 50 inch displays. SD is really that bad. At 480 lines how could it be anything but this?

Be sure your text is HUGE. Try at most 20 characters across a line unless you are doing credits that are ok to be fuzzy.

dvd studio pro menu terrible resolution

I made the menu screen in PS and it looks great. When put int Studio Pro it becomes ratty. My pictures and video in the buttons also look terrible. It's like it's in single field mode. Totally unacceptable to my client. I took the same menu screen into DVD Architect on my PC and the resolution is great. I was hoping someone knew how to make Studio Pro look better.

From what I've read.

You go to Final Cut Pro and it's slightly better. I'd stick with what works IMO. It's only 480 lines so to expect much is to expect a great deal.

Try other fonts and make sure the icons and such as not being resized.
