Look in "Device Manager" to see what is has to say. In XP, it should be listed under "DVD/CD-ROM Drives".

DVD+RW not working?
May 24, 2007 4:02AM PDT

Windows XP home edition is the operating system.

Checked Device manager and DVD/CD-rom drive is not showing up anywhere?
Could it be the hardware for my dvd/cd-rom drive is the problem?
Power is still going to the drive and it opens and close like normal?
Please advise...

Thank you
