DVD-RW mini disk problems

Dec 10, 2005 10:42AM PST

Last night I recorded a program at church on DVD-RW mini disk. I captured about 6 minutes. The rest of the disk was unreadable. What happened? Should there have been a warning? There were no apparent scratches or defects. Fortunately, I can capture the beginning of the performance tomorrow.

Any help would be appreciated.

Sincerely,
Gracie

There is posting in this fourm about a member wanting to mass produce a promo DVD. He stated that he is burning them one at a time using a very good DVD burner and good blank DVDs. He stated that he has a 5% failure rate, this is with a stationry DVD burner, not one that is in a camera and can be shaken while it is recording. You are ALLWISE going to have faluers from time to time.
Old saying: "Don't put all your eggs in one basket". I'll add if you do then make sure that the basket is well made and with out design flaws, The DVD camera is a WEAK BASKET.
I recorded my church Christmas program this past weeked,
Used MiniDV tape. I do not have to tell the Music Pastor that I didn't get the whole program beacuse the DVD camera messed up. John
