Any directCD, InCD or other software?

That's a known side effect of such software being out of date.

I don't think it is out of date softwear. It will not play cds that it played in the past or run programs that it once played. Thanks

Fix the problem?

Just wondering. I asked about directcd, incd or other. Why no answer?

DVD ROM not working
Feb 21, 2005 7:51PM PST

Bob, I just didnt know what you meant by "directcd or incd) excuse my ignorance. The second reader works properly. It is the cd burner. The one that is not working properly is the one used to install programs and play music cds. Therefore I can no longer copy a cd. Does this help? Thanks

It helped a little.

It verifies that it could be the old Incd/directcd eject problem. Look up Belarc's Advisor and post what it reports MINUS ANY SERIAL NUMBERS it reported. Then I'll know.

I usually swap the drive and retest if I think the drive is fubar.

It's much like that car that person is trying to break into.

"Honestly, it's my car!"
