DVD Recorder/Players

Hi, I have a dvd recorder conected to my TV/Sky and when I play a disc it plays for a while but then switches back to TV. I had this problem with a panasonic player/recorder so replaced it with a new one and still getting the same porblem. Get about half way through a film and then it goes back to telly.
Can anyone HELP?? Please

Try it on another "TV/Sky".

If it happens with 2 different players, it's likely it's something in the TV. Especially if these players function correctly on another TV set.
