We don't advice to use DVD RAM's. A simple USB stick is a perfect replacement.
If the disk is OK, and the drive is OK (did you check both?) use the same software as was used to create that disk.
I have a DVD Ram disc which my Windows 7 does not recognise it, what can you suggest ?, my DVD Ram software, that came with my Cam Corder to edit , etc on my computer is fine, but I can not edit the DVD on my computer because it did not recognise it, I have uninstalled the DVD Ram Drive that was installed by the Dell, because Microsoft said it was not suitable.
