DVD Question

by janenolan / June 17, 2006 2:58 PM PDT

I have two questions that maybe someone can answer.

1. If I copy a DVD that I made from a vhs tape onto another DVD, will the copy be exactly as the original with no loss of quality?

2. I am planning to drive across country in a few weeks and want to take some of the DVD'S that I copied from VHS tapes. Will the change in temperatures in the car damage the DVD'S in anyway? Say I have to leave them in a hot car for a few hours while I eat.

Thank you

Digital copying of dvd's does not degrade the resolution of your material (bit for bit copy as long as your burner is ok) Don't store your dvd's in a hot car. Heat and plastics is not a good mixture. Store them in an insulated six pack bag. They should stay safe there for several hours. Have a good trip.

I left a DVD that I burned from a VHS Tape in my care for 2 weeks in a plastic case under the hot sun, exposed to humid conditions as a test. Guess what? It works perfectly with no problem. I am amazed and happy.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
