DVD player

Win 98, SE. Recently DVD/CD drive stopped playing soundtrack, only plays video. The drive still plays music cd's and plays video and sound for game discs, only the sound from the DVD is missing. In the DVD player the mute is not selected.

I had to uninstall then reinstall the DVD player software.

I loaded the DVD app files disc and the sound problem was solved in less than 30 seconds.

I may not remember this specific fix (use that CD) but it's good to read you plowed ahead and fixed it.
