DVD Patch broke my Samsung DVD

by dallas43 / May 11, 2011 10:02 AM PDT

Here's the story, BLuRay DVD has been working just fine. In fact, I watched an online movie from NetFlix last night. Anyway, I have been putting off the software update for a few days now . This morning, I decided to go ahead and update the player with the software patch. After downloading the patch, the player turned off, turned the player back on and tried to press button A (BlockBuster) B (NetFlix) and neither worked. In Fact, none of the A,B,C,or D buttons now work. No more online movies! I called Samsung and they were useless. OF COURSE my warranty expired and they want to charge me $110 bucks to fix my DVD player that their patch broke in the first place.

I'll try it

Again, however, Customer Service had me attempt this resolution already. Guess it wouldn't hurt to try once more.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
