DVD movies play video, but no sound

by Mvhlsc7 / March 23, 2006 9:48 AM PST

All other sounds work. System sounds are ok, music cd's play fine, but not dvd movies. I use windows media player, Power DVD, Interactual player, and none of these will play the sound. I've checked the sound settings, nothing is on mute or low. Any ideas?

Look up GEEXBOX on It's what I use to see if it's Windows or not.

all you need do is, Reinstall Power DVD, it is a well known querk of that player to disable all DVD sound when it clashes with another player, normally Nero Media, or if you just installed or up dated Real player.

So just uninstall and reinstall power DVD all will be well.

Regards, Jim

The Samsung Galaxy S8's fast speeds and fantastic curved screen make it a top phone for 2017, but the annoying fingerprint reader could sour your experience.
