DVD movie in CD player

If I put a DVD movie into a CD player and attempt to play it in this player, will I get the movie sound track or will I mess up the DVD and the player? Thank you. user470

Re: DVD in CD-player

Most likely, it will give an error message. No harm done. Just try and see what message your CD player gives. Could be something like "invalid CD" or "read error" or "insert CD".

Sorry to say...no sound track,

and no harm done.

I've done it many times...

By accident of course, and the CD player chugs for a few seconds then gives an ERROR message and typically displays "Can't Read Disc." It does no harm to the disc or the CD player. On the other hand, putting a VHS tape in a CD player will cause damage Happy
