The disc.

Is the DVD that you are using dirty or scratched? This happened to me playing a movie a month or so ago and it just turned out to be that the disc was at fault.

If it's not that, it could possibly be something wrong with the hardware.

ah forgot to mention: it does it to any dvd's.
even a personal burned dvd it works the same way a brand new dvd does(acctualy doesn't work).
but something is weird because I remember that it works fine few months ago.

ok ...
I've did my homework and I've fixed it.
So the wmplayer seems to be the issue.
wmplayer/tools/properties/advanced and there disable some like batterie power saving mode...
then go to mycomputer/properties/device manager/ide ata/atapi/secondary ide channel-uninstall.
restart and wait untill the dvd drive is reinstall to its original settiings.ah , make sure that you'll check secondary ide/properties/advanced settings DMA if available is set on .
and that's it .

hope this it will be usefull for someone else who's dvd's are playing choppy.
have a good day.
