dvd full

When I try to delete a file from my DVD+RW disk I receive the message that the disk is full and I must delete some files before I can delete a file. I checked the properties and it shows 0 space availalbe, however I know that there is only one file on the disk and it is only 10k in size. I recently put the disk thru a full format. Any suggestions?

Usually there is an "erase disk" option in disk-writing software. I'd use that if you have it.

Yes, usually, you erase it or format.
Maybe something is corrupted, so you cannot read it correctly.

BE CAREFUL with rewritable disks.

Yes, CD-RWs can be reused, but are not trustable for "backup purposes".
You already know why.
But CD-RWs are useful for "tests", then you burn on DVD-R if everything worked fine.
