by nei0005 / March 18, 2009 2:31 AM PDT

BEFORE I HAD A VIRUS WHEN YOU PLACED A DVD IN THE DVD TRAY IT AUTOMATICALLY LOADED. THE VIRUS HAS SINCE BEEN FIXED BUT NOW I HAVE TO KEEP HITTING AUTOPLAY TO GET THE DVD TO RESPOND. I HAVE DONE ALL INSTRUCTIONS FROM VARIOUS PEOPLE ON THE INTERNET AND ALL THE AREAS THAT WERE IN QUESTION WERE THERE AND PROPERLY LOADED. SO FAR NOTHING HAS WORKED. WOULD APPRECIATE YOUR HELP

An area of "no standards."

While I see you are YELLING for help the issue is simply you can set the DVD to do what you want as there is no standard.

Look up TWEAKUI on google.com and examine the options as to what XP can do when the DVD is put in. You never revealed what it should do so we'll have to give you the tools to change it.

Also AUTOFIX from Microsoft can help. Here's the link:

Good luck and hope you set it up the way you want it.

TO BOB RE MY DVD WILL NOT LOAD AUTOMATICALLY
by nei0005 / March 20, 2009 3:23 AM PDT

BOB: THANKS FOR YOUR PROMPT REPLY. I DID EXACTLY WHAT YOU SAID AND THE THING WORKS BEAUTIFUL. NOW WHEN I PLACE A DVD IN THE TRAY AND CLOSE IT THE DISK STARTS AUTOMATICALLY WITHOUT ME HAVING TO GO AFTER THE AUTOPLAY SCREEN. I AM GOING TO KEEP YOUR INFORMATION AS I LOVE BOTH TWEAKUI AND MICROSOFT'S AUTO REPAIR. THANKS A LOT FOR YOUR HELP
