Question

DVD Drive doesn't respond to the locally burned DVD and CD

this problem is from last two weeks
my dvd drive only responding to silver official DVD 's and CD 's and when i insert my locally burned DVD then first it starts and and its light blings for some time and then sudden stops .................. i want to see my importent data in these DVD's

Did you try other PCs?

yes i tried My DVD's on my friends PC's

by locally burned DVD i mean that the low cost DVD's of size (approx.4GB)
FOR MY PERSONAL STORAGE ....

Could you read those DVD's on your friends PC? Yes or no?
If yes, it's time for a new drive in your PC (if lens cleaning doesn't work).

But if you only have 1 copy of your important files, you'll lose them sooner or later. Moreover, DVD's are slow and not very reliable. Better buy a few USB-sticks for that important data.
