DVD Burning HElp for newbie :(

Feb 23, 2006 1:00AM PST

Hi Everyone,

ok here is my problem....... I am totally new to all this DVD stuff!! I have collated together several clips off some DVDs and put them all together and added some text and stuff using Adobe Premier. Within the project there is also powerpoint presentations which I converted to AVI before dropping them into the project.

I then exported the whole project from within Adobe Premier to an mpeg file. If I export it as a DVD I get files with the extension m2v and they dont have any sound on them. So Now I am left with one file that contains everything that has an extension mpg.

What I wish to do now is to Burn it to a DVD, but this is where I am stuck!

I read somewhere I needed *.vob files so I used some convertion tool and the result was about 3 different *.vob files and a *.info and *.bup files in its own folder. I tried to burn this onto a DVD R disc using Nero Burning Rom. However when I drag the biggest VOB file of them all into the Nero window it says "The file is larger than 2gb and therefore cannot be stored in an iso file system. Please use the UDF file system to write such large files"

That may as well be in chinese to me!!! All I want to do is get this *.mpg file I have which is 2863469kb in size onto a DVD that I can watch on any conventional DVD player in the home.

Please can anyone help!!

Many many thanks in advance

Neil

Many years ago I hand crafted all the .vob, .ifo and such files and made a DVD. Never again. You can use google to figure that out but don't ask me.

I'll use software such as DVDSanta, Ulead and Sony Vegas. Some of these have demo versions so you can try before you buy.
