If not, then try that.
I have a DVD/VCR Recorder. (Samsung DVD-VCR #DVD-VR 357) I use it to transfer videos from my Camcorder, a Sony Handycam Video 8 #CCD-TRV 11 to a DVD disc in the Samsung. I am using a Sony DVD+R disc. The camcorder is plugged in externally to the Samsung. I have successfully burned videos in this way. The DVD+R plays back fine on my TV, but when I insert the disc in my computer it does not recognize the disc and a dialog box appears saying: "Please insert disc into drive"
I use the same Sony DVD+R discs to store pictures on. I can burn them on my computer and play them back on my computer fine. I burn the disc in my E drive which is marked DVD R/RW. This same Sony DVD+R disc cannot be played on the previously mentioned Samsung DVD/VCR recorder and viewed on the TV.
I have a Dell computer. I operate on Windows XP. Can you tell me why the DVD+R disc can be burned on the Samsung but will not play on my Computer. Yet I can burn images from my computer to the same DVD+R and play them on the computer, but not the DVD/VCR recorder?
