DVD Burners

Trying to check on an inexpensive DVD Burner for my brother.
BusLink 8x4x12 Internal IDE DVD+/-RW +/-R Drive. 2MB cache buffer...$79.99 (after rebates). Is this BRAND a good deal?

Yeah, that's a good deal.
the speed of DVD writer now is only 8X.
because it write to both -R and +R formats.
Those are two entirely different format.
Each uses its own media type also.
