DVD and hard drive partition don't show in my computer

Feb 20, 2006 7:07PM PST

Hello, I am having a strange problem with my computer. I have 2 cd burners on Raid. They
show up in control panel/system/device manager and also in the bios but they don't show up in my computer so I have no way to access them. I also have the same problem with one of my hard drive
partitions not showing up in my computer. It's a 160 gig split into two and only one of the partitions show up.

XP Pro
Sil ATA 133 Raid Card
Asus A8V
1 Gig DDR

Any help is appreciated, thanks.

I didn't think such were support on the raid connection on most boards. Also XP Pro does not support over 127GB drives until SP1/SP2. You didn't note the SP1/SP2 so that's the issue there.

Cheers,

Hello, I am running XP Pro sith Service Pack 2 and everything worked fine until I had to do a clean install. Now I just can't get things to work right again.

Most install XP (and SP2) but forget motherboard drivers. Best of luck.
