Question

DVD 4x issue

Dec 18, 2018 2:49PM PST

I have a DVD that is 4X that I recorded a long time ago. My present computer will not see any files. My DVD on my laptop views other DVD and home made DVD's with 32 and 52X. How can I restore my photo's of my 4X DVD to another DVD or harddrive? Is there a place I can take it to in Boise, Idaho?
Thanks,
Rex

Things to try.

1. ISOBUSTER. This is what folk use for media that has content but is not a "closed session."
2. After idea 1, look up RECUVA and try it on this media.

I tried isoBuster and recouva. Iso Buster did see some files but then wanted me to purchase it in order to see the files. Not confident after purchasing that I would see what I needed

Answer
Try Other Computers Also...

I've had old disks that were tricky on one or two machines, but a different computer with a different DVD drive would read it. Be sure to clean/dust off the DVD disk before placing it in the drive.

Hope this helps.

I don't have access to an old DVD, but I thought maybe the geek squad at Best Buy might have one or have another suggestion Thanks
