DV136 camcorder modification

May 11, 2012 5:46PM PDT

Hello. I wanted to ask does somebody know if dv136 3.1mp camcorder has replaceable ccd/cmos?
I'm interested in making highly sensitive monochrome camera for ultraviolet photography. Usually such camera are rare and are very expensive. But it is possible to modify ccd to be sensitive in uv range, by removing Bayers color filter array and microlens, showed here http://photo.net/digital-camera-forum/00CM0R Or simply replace it with monochrome/ uv sensitive ccd module.
DV136 would be perfect to modify for black&white/ UV photography if it has replacement ccd, because it is probably most cheapest camcorder.

You should post your question on the Camcorders Forum.

Here is a link to the Camcorders Forum:

It would help if you told them what company makes the DV136 camcorder.
Canon, Sony, etc, etc

I would not bother reposting.

You didn't supply what model you did this before. I'm encountering folk that think this stuff is made of parts you can swap out. But how to break it to them without insulting them is the trick.

I think that manufacturer is Vivikai, but camcorder itself has no company name on it. I will repost when I get approval from sellers.
