Durable, good call quality, and thin for under $150?

My dad is looking for a new phone and the following is what he wants. Most importantly he wants a durable phone that will last. Second he wants something with good call quality. Third, he wants a display that will enable him to see text on the screen (his eyesight is less than stellar). Third he wants a phone that is relatively thin, hopefully something less than 19 or 20mm. He doesn't need any type of camera, music player, or any thing of that sort. He just needs to use it to make calls. He is going to purchase it off ebay and it needs to be an unlocked quad band phone with gsm 850. He doesn't want to exceed $130 but he's willing to go to $150. Any ideas?

The Motorola Motofone F3 is your best choice in this case. You can get it from Motorola directly for less than $50.

That phone doesn't even have a color screen! That is taking basic too far.

You said a GSM phone.

I'm guessing that you want to use it with ATT or T-Mobile.

Did you try looking at Walmart at the Go Phones or the pay as you go T-Mobile Phones? Most are around $100 and he can get to see and even try them out. Maybe there will be one there that he'll like. We used Go Phones to replace broken phones that got broken. We have a contract with ATT and these replacement Go Phones come in handy.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
