General discussion

my computer has been in storage for about a year and ive just attempted to get back on it ( i was in the process of moving ). the computer is extremely slow and crashes within minutes of being on it. sometimes i get lucky and am able to run nortans and other spyware and virus programs and they detect nothing. my computer does not allow me to choose diagnostic startup ( only selective ) and will not allow a system restore. also ive tryed hooking the internet up to it and it will not recognize my modem and will not allow me to add modems or other hardware. the device manager is completely cleared. the only noticeable thing is dumprep and kernel something is on my startup. i have been researching dumprep but still need help.. sorry i do not have my system info...for i am on another with internet at another location.
