Javascript is in the browsers and can't be added.

Firefox has such and I just looked at IE6 to be sure and sure enough you can enable Javascript in Tools, Options.

not have Microsofts Java, thus one is required to download Java from the Sun or?? site, in order to go to sites using javascript..

Have done it a few times before with info provided by Grif.

I think that one of us is confused. Probably me because I am older.

Java is not Javascript.

"One of these things is not like the others,"

While MS Java is noteworthy it was turfed years ago. So long ago that any site that required it should have updated to Sun's JAVA by now.

But I simply wanted the link
by Ray Harinec / December 8, 2006 5:21 AM PST

to the "latest" correct, no malware , Sun Javascript to install into XP Home.

Grif always seems to have a safe link and species the correct version to install. Thus search [with virtually doesn't work for me] might take me to an incorrect older version.

...the newest version of Java, which was released this week, is now Update 10. Use the same link but select for the JRE Update 10.

The updated Windows Script Engine provided is also a good one to install.

Hope this helps.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
