There isn't one

There isn't one that is universal to the entire OS like with Mac OS X, only specific programs like Microsoft Word or Mozilla Firefox have spellchecks. In a lot of cases, with Microsoft programs at least, programs depend on having Microsoft Office installed in order for the spellcheck to function, since they just use the MS Office spellcheck program.

And how does that

And how does that contradict anything I said exactly? I said there isn't a universal one for the OS, but specific apps might have one.

Also, just FYI, IE is short for Internet Explorer.

In what program do you want the spell check: in Notepad or in Google Chrome or some other program? The only Windows thing you can type things into is the command processor, and that doesn't need it.
