On the NBC Weekend News last night they quoted an anonymous Secret Service agent as saying that Cheney had a couple of close calls while hunting previously... And I suspect the comment about Cheney inviting Brady hunting was meant in jest, as Cheney is an NRA fan who strongly opposes the Brady Bill.

I feel bad for Mr Brady

I guess he has every right for anecdotal commentary... I'm a bit more puzzled by Mrs. Brady's response.

I also wonder why they are even mentioned in a news release... Did they volunteer their opinion at a public event or did some reporter contact them looking for a story.

Even cutting Mr. Brady some slack ...
by Evie / February 13, 2006 8:36 AM PST

... I fail to see what a hunting accident between buddies involving birdshot has ANYTHING even REMOTELY to do with their pet cause of gun control. Unless their agenda really is the banning of ALL guns!
