What's his recourse if it is proven that the stripper lied?

If there is a Gay Defense League (not saying this guy is gay) will they defend him on the original charge? His lawyer should have used "the fighting words" defense. Sometimes you shouldn't plea bargin

He and his friends were gay-bashing, literally.

that writer should go back and learn to write. Very poorly constructed. Doesn't change first part of the post though

The wording of your article is misleading ...

... it's my understanding that Finnerty is accused of "gay bashing". Interestingly Cynthia McKinney has yet to face charges for her assault, while a Dutch lingerie model spent time in a jail cell in Miami just the other day for a tussle with a flight attendant.

What I don't get is that now the judge in this other case has imposed a curfew and other restrictions on Finnerty BEFORE his trial. Huh? He hasn't been convicted of anything. AFAIK, the "diversion program" would involve charges dropped if completed, so at worst, that option has been withdrawn meaning he just stands accused at this point of the offense.

Odd.
