This is why you may be having a problem finding a solution. I think the message is about autochk so verify that then google that message.

im dual booting win xp home and lin mint 9.just set it up last night first thing was installed linux them xp then i had to install lin again because it would go straight to xp.then after that i booted up windows no problem and then i went to go update linux and i did no problem then i wanted to get back on windows and play a game and it takes me to the boot screen like normal and i select windows.the windows screen shows up with the loading bar then i get a message saying "chkdsk not found skipping disk check" then it restarts.ive also booted windows in safe mode, it didnt tell me about the chkdsk it just restarted after it tried to boot it in safemode.
