Dual Video Cards?

by LarCrow / January 15, 2009 10:48 AM PST

I have a Dell E520 with 3 GB running XP Media Center with a 256MB nVidia Geoforce 7300LE PCI video card and a 19 in monitor. I want to be able use the Media Center resources to output selected program data or internet graphics to my old Mitsubishi TV via one of its S-video inputs and do so while still using my monitor.

Is it possible to add a second PCI video card and run both at the same time? If not are there any other options?

Can't you just use the tv as a second monitor?

If you can do that then you don't need another video card. Simply plug the tv in and it should register as a second monitor that you can enable.

Dual Video Cards

Maybe I'm mistaken but in looking at my original setup schematics it says to use either the VGA or the S-video connectors but not both. I assumed that meant that the one card could only support one or the other but not both at the same time.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
