Dual monitor problems and queries

Jun 14, 2007 10:10PM PDT

Ill try to explain as well as i can.
I recently bought myself a new monitor for my soon ot build computer. I figured id use it and hooked it up into my laptop (compaq nx9000) and it worked. so then i enabled dual monitors (note i do not have a control utility for my ATI radeon IGP 340M - yes i know -.-)... so this dual monitor thing is great. except, my laptop monitor is not very good and all fullscreen programs (games, etc.) work on there.

so my question to you.
- How do i turn off dual monitors and only use my new monitor or use both but not dual.

- How do i stop fullscreen programs like my games from running on my primary laptop monitor, and instead make them run on my new one.

Also, it seems that animatoins do not show. eg. i ran CS 1.6 in windowed mode and i click and dragged that window onto my new monitor. I hovered over the options button and when it should have lit up, it didnt. i clicked on it and it made the sound that it usually makes but nothing popped up. i dragged the window onto my old laptop monitor and the poped up optoins window was there. When i click and drag it back, its there. and then if i click on a tab on the optoins menu, nothing, i drag to old monitor and it shows up (i dont click it again, its just already there), etc.

With videos, i haev to pause the video and then click and drag onto the new monitor to view it, otherwise the visuals do not load.

- How do i stop this from happening?

Thank you.
