I am 85 and hard of hearing I need a TV that allows me to have control of my audio and a separate control for the speakers.
Please list some models that fit the bill

So far none.

This is usually accomplished by adding cables to split the TV' audio to a sound system and to your headphones. Any decent store can tell you how to set this up.

I Need Help with Same Issue

I'm very interested in this myself. My mother is hard of hearing and she can only hear the TV if the volume is way up. She also uses closed captioning which is very distracting for me when I'm with her. She can hear fine if she uses a headset, except that it cuts off the TV speakers and then I can't hear. The TV is a Toshiba LCD. I've gone through the TV manual and every settings menu I can find but no luck and the folks at various electronics stores don't have the first clue.

The same plug is used but a SPLITTER is used to send the audio to the headphones and a speaker bar.

It's a common setup and folks at various stores know how to do this. HOWEVER some demand fixing of the TV so the TV speakers stay on and not many sets do that. If you demand that, no luck may be had.
