I just purchased a Sony surround sound system (ht-ss370) and am using it with a Sony Blue Ray player (bdp-s360) using an HDMI cable. When I watch a BD movie with Dolby everything works fine, the Receiver has the dolby icon on the Receiver display showing that it is decoding dolby signals but when I watch a BD movie with DTS the Receiver doesn't have the DTS light and isn't decoding the DTS signal, only the lpcm light is on. The Receiver has a built in decoder for both these formats and my BD player is setup in the audio settings to output both of these formats. I don't no why DTS won't work?
Updated: when watching bd the dark knight which has english and then english dolby true hd, if you select english the dolby light comes on the AVR when you select dolby true hd the dobly light goes off and the lpcm light comes on like with the dts BD
Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly
Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
