That your filters are on all lines save that DSL modem. Next disconnect all the phones except a non-wireless phone and see if it fixes it. If so, add one phone at a time until you find which phone is creating an issue.
Another owner found a defective DSL filter so if dropping back to just one phone doesn't fix it, swap that phone and filter for another.

I have DSL provided by Bellsouth. I use a Westell modem and a Belkin router. I have already concluded that this is not a problem of my computer because the modem displayed the disconnection from the internet and all the computers in my house experience the same thing.
My DSL periodically disconnect, sometimes for a inconvenient amount of time. It also disconnects when ever someone calls, you call someone, or you hang up the phone. It can reconnect eventually while your still on the phone so I'm not sure what exactly is causing it. I've already check that my phones are plugged into the appropriate filters as well as the modem.
This has aggravated me for some time, but today, my birthday, I went to the Bellsouth website to go over the troubleshooting checklist once more. The only thing I found wrong was that my modem was plugged into a power extension/surge protector. I do not understand how this would cause problems with the connection and so I've come to these forms in search of answers. I would first like to know if this would fix the problem before I change the whole set up of the electrical connections in this area. I would also like to know why/how it would cause these problems.
