Yet another reason why DVD camcorders are not good at all...
Getting out of the car today my camera bag took a tumble - when I picked it up it had the power switch in the on position and the disc had been dislodged from the spindle. I had been using a DVD-R from Fuji that had not been finalized and is not scratched. The camera now will not play, record, finalize, etc. All I get is the fast flashing icon (amber circle-slash over disc) and message that "recording is disabled". When putting a new blank disc in the camera, everything is fine. I've tried taking off the battery, re-trying the disc, resetting the camera, etc.
My question is can I retrieve the movie? Thanks in advance.
