dropped laptop and this prompt came up. please help!

my friend dropped her laptop and this came up after she tried to start it up again. she has a really important report in it. does anyone know any tricks to get back in again?

I don't see the HDD in the menu.

Try this old trick. Open up the HDD back/plate/access (after power off and power removal) and unplug the HDD and plug it back in. Maybe it will come back. If not these drops can break the HDD to computer connection so we put the HDD in some USB case to copy the files they forgot to backup out.

PLEASE get your files out to backups before you shut down. You've been given a second chance. Use it.
