Question

Drop down Samsung Services nag

Apr 4, 2018 8:33AM PDT

Since the OS update about a week ago, every time I pull my drop down shade there's a bag about signing into Samsung services. This is a known issue on the internet, but I've not been able to disable this recurring message. Do I have to roll my OS back to get rid of this notification? What's the deal Samsung? I get the message and zi don't need to be reminded again every time I use my phone

Remember Android is FRAGMENTED.

While I know to head to Settings and Notifications I know that with some hundred versions of Android out this is no chance I can tell you exactly where to turn this off. But better than 99% of the time I have turned off notifications like this.

No it doesn't help all but it's a start.

I've been through the boards and forums. I've ferreted out all the Samsung notification settings can find and either tturned them off or disabled them. I've deleted all Samsung services down to bare bones, and I still get this nag whenever I pull down my drop down shade. I know that not everyone has this affliction. My brother has an identical S8 with the same updates and it isn't happening on his phone.

Remember that unless I get on your phone

I can't nail this one. Android is too fragmented today. If you are unfamiliar with this issue read https://www.google.com/search?q=android+fragmentation for one or maybe more to understand why support that nails a question with exact steps fails so often.

https://www.google.com/search?q=disable+all+android+notifications finds that there are too many ways to turn this off.

Be aware that here in the USA I can call 1800SAMSUNG to ask as well, but I don't because I don't have your phone to finish such a call.
