Question

Drivers wanted for my Acer Aspire laptop

Dec 24, 2014 10:21PM PST

Hi
I have an Acer Aspire E 15 ES1-512-C5YW laptop

http://www.acer.co.uk/ac/en/GB/content/model/NX.MRWEK.002

I recently formated windows 8 from it and installed win vista
But in doing so I removed all the drivers including my wi-fi

I have had a look online but cant find any drivers for it
Dose anyone know where I can download them from?

Thanks

If Acer doesn't have Vista drivers to download, Vista is a dead end. Back to Windows 8, upgrade to 8.1 and install Classic Shell, that's the easy solution. Of course, if you can find all Windows 7 drivers on their site (but that's somewhat unlikely) Windows 7 is an alternative.

Downgrading isn't always possible.

Did you catch the step back to Windows 8?

Your laptop came with it so for no money you go back to stock then add Classic Shell to ease the pain of what was missing.

Then he can use the recovery disks he made (if he did ...) or that came with the laptop (that's a rare happening nowadays) or that he orders from Acer (but it isn't free then any more).

Answer
Some machines don't have such drivers.

I wish you had posted before the format. CLASSIC SHELL has been good enough to keep folk from discover just how hard it is to install Windows and find drivers.

BEYOND DRIVERS you'll also need applications to turn on the WiFi and maybe other laptop features. I've seen folk search for drivers for months only to discover the application angle (to turn on the WiFi.)
