DRIVERS IBM LAPTOP

Once in a while, I get new DRIVERS upgrade from IBM. My question:
After I do the upgrade, do I need to keep the update prg. on my laptop or can I get rid of them. They are saved in a section call DRIVERS.

IBM-A20m
Windows-2000 Pro.
350 Mb of Memory.
