driver whiz

I'm missing my sound driver and it will not load off of gateway's sight. Does anyone know of a free program that will detect missing drivers and install them. I found a bunch but after appearing to load, they tell you that you need a license key to proceed. I don't want to pay for a program only to find out that they can't fix the problem either.

I've seen too many of these and continue to go back to old fashioned methods such as examining the board, the CD, diskettes the machine came with as well as using BELARC ADVISOR and the last Free Version of EVEREST.

If you didn't get my answer, it was any "whiz" never worked for me.
