Did you install the latest driver for your Lexmark X1185 from their website:http://downloads.lexmark.com/cgi-perl/downloads.cgi?category=Drivers&ccs=229:1:0:435:0:0&os_group=Windows%20ME&searchLang=en
Maybe you already did this, anyway the usual routine is to download and install this software, then plug in your printer and let windows find the correct driver, if it doesn't, then tell it to use your new driver by going into your printer setup routine.
I've got Windows Me. Printer is a Lexmark X1185, which I've been told by Microsoft Tech Support, shares a driver with the software Microsoft Streets and Trips. After uninstalling the printer and unplugging it from the computer, the Streets and Trips works properly. But, of course, I can't get rid of my printer.
I talked to both Streets and Trips Tech Support and Lexmark's as well. Both of their support lines go to a number in India, and unfortunately, I can't understand half of what they are saying. I've talked to a total of 9 people.
Does anyone understand what I'm asking? Has anyone had a similar problem with programs like Streets and Trips where they won't perform all their functions because of a shared driver?
